Holiday Hodgepodge and Weather Chasers!

Tuesday's theme was Holiday HodgePodge! The campers worked on making different holiday decorations, played holiday computer games, and played mat dodge ball and turkey tag in the gym. 

The campers participated in Weather themed activities on Wednesday! They learned about the water cycle using shaving cream, food coloring, and water. The campers also made Rainbows out of colored noodles and straws. Their knowledge of weather was also tested with some fun activity sheets. Today was also Eli and Tyler's golden birthdays. Therefore, the birthday boys were able to choose a couple games in the gym to play.

Tomorrow's field trip is to the Whitewater Aquatic Center. Wear your camp shirt and bring your swim suit and towel!

Destination Disney and Bugs, Bugs, & Bugs

Friday's theme was Destination Disney! The campers had fun guessing drawings of Disney characters during Disney pictionary. They also made Mickey and Minnie hats and played Disney themed games outside, such as Mickey, Mickey Mouse (Duck, duck goose). The campers also enjoyed going to the splash park in town. At the end of the day, the campers voted on different Disney movies and chose to watch Brave. For the special snack they created Disney characters out of cookies.
Monday's theme was Bugs, bugs, bugs. The campers played Flies and Mosquitoes, created bugs during craft time, went for a bug scavenger hunt, and had a blast doing buggy activities!

Celebrate Diversity and Pump It Up & The Goodman Pool

Wednesday's theme was Celebrate Diversity. The campers traced and decorated their hands and talked about how each hand is different and that differences should be embraced. They also had fun with a colorful parachute and they made collages that represented diversity. On Thursday we went to Pump It Up and the Goodman Pool (Monona Pool was closed because of mechanical issues). The campers had a great time jumping and splashing around!
